Too cute for words
Here is a little glimpse of the Balinese Monkey Forest.  Beautiful trees with hanging vines.  Bananas for sale to feed the monkeys.  So sweet.

Tour of the Bali factory

Fields of fabric
Hand dyeing

Hand stamping fabric with wax

Getting ready to move the fabric for hand dyeing
Finished fabric ready for measuring
Hand folding "Bali-Pop" strips for packaging
Today I spent meeting the Bali factory workers and seeing the fabric dyeing process first hand.  At first glance the fields look like they have crops growing but it is something much more exciting, hand dyed fabric!  I walked around the fields of the "fabric farm" and learned more about the extensive water filtration system and all the the many steps involved in creating our beautiful fabric.  In a few days I will be working with them hands on, I cant wait!

Breakfast at Puri Cantik Bungalow prepared by Anak Agung Dewi
Local fresh fruit and green pancake filled with banana puree and topped with fresh grated coconut.  This was oh so delicious.  I am now ready for a day of working with the textile batikers of Hoffman California Fabrics!
Place mat design
A simple but pretty design on a woven place mat at a local restaurant for dinner.
View from Puri Cantik Bungalow in Ubud
Welcomed to this fabulous bungalow by Gusti Ngurah Gunadi in Ubud, I relaxed on the balcony as the sun went down.
Denpasar, Bali airport
After a long flight I arrived in Denpasar, Bali, a tropical paradise packed full of green foliage.  I cant wait to be immersed in this exotic culture.
